He composed over six hundred works, many acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, piano, operatic, and choral music; and he is among the most enduringly popular of classical composers.

Wilhelm II (English: Frederick William Victor Albert) (27 January 1859 – 4 June 1941) was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia, ruling both the German Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia from 15 June 1888 to 18 November 1918. (sometimes wrongly given as 9 November, the 9th was the unofficial abdication announced by Prince Max von Baden.) Among the Allies during World War I, he was known either as The Kaiser or Kaiser Bill.
